
BSc (Hons) Finance and Accounting
- Overview:
A degree in finance and accounting is a fantastic way to build a solid foundation for various business careers. It not only prepares you for roles like qualified accountant, auditor, financial reporter, management accountant, or financial services professional but also offers significant exemptions for those pursuing professional certifications such as ACCA.
The course focuses on developing both subject-specific and transferable skills, like communication, enterprise, problem-solving, and quantitative analysis. The syllabus is designed to combine theoretical and practical aspects, ensuring that students gain real-world knowledge and the tools and techniques required by employers.
Completion of the following modules will give direct exemptions for;
- Financial Auditing (MOD003377) – Audit and Assurance
- Financial Management in Organisations (MOD003462)
- Financial Reporting for Businesses (MOD003459) – Financial Reporting (FR)
- Managing Business Performance (MOD003460) – Performance Management (PM)
- Taxation for Business (MOD003461) – Taxation (TX)
Completion of BSc Finance and Accounting course would also enable you to obtain exemptions for the following ACCA modules:
- Accountant in Business (AB)
- Management Accounting (MA)
- Financial Accounting (FA)
- Corporate and Business Law (LW)
- Entry Requirements
UK or Overseas Qualifications:
- Level 2 qualification (GCSE’s, Secondary School)
- Level 3 qualification such as:
- A Levels | BTEC | Higher National Certificate (HNC) | Certificate of Higher Education
Work Experience Route:
- Minimum 6 months work experience in the last 2 years under a skilled job category
- A confirmation email (Job Role, Duration of Work) from the employer
- Flexible Timetable Options:
Standard Delivery:
– 2 days a week on-campus classes (10:00 A.M – 04:00 P.M)
Non-Standard Delivery (Evening and Weekend):
– 2 evenings (06:00 P.M to 09:00 P.M) + Saturday (10:00 A.M – 04:00 P.M)
